I put a call in to the CC dealer in Palm Beach County and he wasn't aware of any kit at this time. He is going to check and call me back just to make sure either way. I hope they do, would have to move the electronics to the back wall of the battery compartment and get a new tub with a 6 battery footprint.

There is a kit made, I've seen it but my old timers disease kicked in and won't remember where. I'll post up if I can find it again.

If there isn't a kit and you don't use your bag well you could always put 2 8 volts in that and change out the 4 12's in the battery compartment to 4 8's!

I do hope you find that Kit Doug

Hey guys just a question, did some searching on this, the new precedent i2L from club car comes with 6-8v batts, can the battery tray be purchased seperately and installed in a older precedent cart? Just curious, will keep looking.

Simply answer is yes… but the electronics have to be moved someone for this to take place. On the original Precedents the Controller/OBC, Solenoid, etc. is in the center of the tray with the batteries, (2 12 volts on each side of the electronics. The newer Precedents have the electronics located on the back wall behind the tray. There is one gentleman that has 6 12 volt batteries in his Precedent running 72 volts with a customized battery tray, liner removed.

OK so does the new tray allow for the electronics to be installed on there as well. Just curious trying to learn some stuff here.

Doug and golfcartfixer believe there is a Kit that will do it all, (I hope there is!) From what I saw in the newer Precedent they hang the electronics behind the battery tray, not sure how. The OBC is fitted in the back wall of that tray. There is plenty of room back there but a nice Kit with enclosed electronics would be nicer. Again the simplest way would be to add a couple of batteries in the bagwell if all were 8 volts.

You know the only problem with the 4-12s is they dont hold up on a golf course.I think a new set of batteries other than trojan and you will be ok,the u.s.batteries work real good.
