Default Body Swap Problem

Just installed an after market CC body which went on without much of an issue. One thing I have to deal with is on the front, there were two screws that went up through the dash flange into the stock body keeping the body from vibrating. The new body does not go that far into the dash flange, and therefore rattles like all hell breaking loose. Short of drilling and screwing into the dash from the outside, which I would rather not, has anyone had this issue with body swaps and if so what did you do? Thanks

Brian

I would call the person that sold you the poorly designed body and have them remedy the situation for you

sounds like a job for silicone man! fill the flange with rtv , install the body and clean off all that squishes out

I must say I was disappointed you guys missed this one once I figured out what the problem was, I would think it is common knowledge for those who have completed many body swaps - The two screws I noted above do not screw into the body as the old owner had done - but into two brackets attached to the frame/trim piece that clamps down on the body and keep it from vibrating. Those brackets, there are 6 altogether in the trim piece, are not secured in place and can move, and did move. So there was nothing for me to screw into. Once I pulled the trim piece off and moved the brackets back into their required location, screws down and secures the body as it should. Hopefully this will help someone in the future.
