I see that for $75, I can have the car programed to go faster. Anyone know if this is possible for cheaper or a DIY operation? Thanks

I don't know if you can on a 2002 IQ but the Speed Code 4 you're talking about comes from ClubCar directly through one of their dealers and they are the ones that need to program it for you.

Sorry to Hi-Jack the thread but does anybody know of anyone in Mass other than Country Club Enterprises of Wareham. they are rip offs they quoted almost 200.00 to do it. Very rude to deal with also. Everyone else I talk to says 75.00 - 100.00.

I had a quote of $50 for speed code 4 and free installation in the Houston area.

I have to tell you I am quite impressed with a $275.00 motor I purchased. I have a stock 2004 IQ CC and have reached as high as 30.1mph with a GPS and it is consistently 28 mph+. There are motors out there that have been modified so that the speed code doesn't even matter, so if 19mph is not going to be good enough then get a motor. The max with speed code 4 is supposed to be around 19mph.

What kind of motor did you purchase for $275.00 and did you have to do any other upgrades?

$75 is not bad for the code, The dealer just has to send an email or a phone call to CC to get the code, the dealer will need the cart vin and the controller ID #, and then prepare to wait, It usually takes a week or 2 to get the package in the mail with the code on a sticker, and No club car will not just tell you the code, they have to mail it to the dealer, and then they will use the programmer and set it up with stage 4, its not a bad deal for a few mile per hr. difference.

Yeah not a bad deal unless your in Mass. and the only game is Country Club Enterprises and they want to soak $200.00 plus and act like it is a major process. Wish I had someone else close by.

I purchased the motor from a guy in Florida that sells to dealers. They are similar to the ones that Plumquick and a few others sell. It requires no other upgrades, but they say you will loose a little torque. It must be an IQ cart, the one with the plug/speed sensor on the end of the motor. I have very few hills so I have not noticed a difference in torque.
