2004 Club Car Precedent battery trouble
I am having a situation where my charger will kick on and run for about 20 minutes, then just shut off. The batteries never do get fully charged. The cart seems to have no power anymore. I have tried various chargers. Any ideas to what might be the problem?
I metered the batteries and I am reading about 40 V. It is a 48 Volt system. Anyway to reset the OCB or something? MY OCB: Lester Mechanical Part Number 24285-02 Ver 2.05 Any ideas? Need new batteries? |

chances are good you need batteries. Doing a proper battery test will determine your problem, but it looks like that is it.

Your OBC should also be version 3.0. They had a lot of problems with them and that was the latest version I believe.

You probably have a bad battery,The 4-12 setup with batteries was not very good and they dont last long.

Re: 2004 Club Car Precedent battery trouble
A. The OBC does tell the charger when to come on, how much to charge, when to cut off.
try a reset 1st http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...tting-obc.html If this does not help , check each battery to insure , you don't have 1-2 bad batteries. If all are still low U can also bypass the OBC , watch the charger , don't let it go for more than 10 hours , check again 1 hour after stopping charge. If all are still low after all this , then I vote with the others all may be bad. |
