Ga of battery cables
I have been looking into replacement battery cables. I found some 0/2 Ga marine battery cables, 2 ga marine battery cables, and of course 4 Ga cables already made to fit my cart. My question is, what is the difference between 0/2 and 2 Ga? And, is 2 Ga or 0/2 Ga overkill for my cart? I am anticipating upgrading controller and motor in the very near future. (Was assuming marine grade would be good as it would be less likely to corrode)
Appreciate your feedback. Thanks! |

Re: Ga of battery cables
Here is a wire gauge chart showing the diameter of wire per size. Unless going to an extreme build, 4 gauge is usually more then enough.
