The owner of the cart is bill-e-boy so only he knows what he got. I'm sure he will post soon.
I learned something about the OBC too. Thanks David

good evening guys,

that's for all the info so far.......

here's the serial number of the cart AQ0620-627369

and here's the CONTOLLER serial no. 253692...will that tell you what version controller I have?

this is a 2006 club car IQ DS bought from adealer who bought carts from the golf course and re-sold them. I bought the cart in august 2008,and had it registered then. It is heavily modded but I have studied, read and tried to keep my batteries in the best possible condition. I did determine that I have bad batteries by testing per advice on a previous thread.
thanks again.

It was originally registered to Citicapitol (Lease) on 12/13/05 which means your battery warranty ran out on 12/13/09.

No that's the serial number... not the model number... But I can tell you what it is... it's a Curtis 1510-5201. 250 Amps.

This is the only controller Club Car has ever used on an IQ car. There is a 350 Amp version available but it's not used on any new cars when they are built.

the number I just gave you is going to be the model number.... It's got to be it unless it's been upgraded to the 350Amp or something aftermarket.

You should show a Pink label on the OBC and the version will be upside down when you look at it, near the bottom of the label but actually closer to the top since it's upside down! Read it from the passenger side once the cover is removed.

Take off the controller cover and look at the tag on the computer... It'll either say V2.05, V2.06, or V3.0. The 2.05 computers were replaced with 2.06 computers when the problem was diagnosed. The 3.0 computers later came out but Club Car did not feel that there was enough difference in the 2.06 and the 3.0 to change them all again. The 2.06 will work fine, but the 2.05 can definitely be a problem. It's too late to have that repaired under warranty though. There's only a 3 year warranty on the car with the exception of batteries and chargers.

TahoeDawg, what are the symptoms of a bad or going bad OBC other then the obvious of not working whatsoever. Are there any tell tale signs to watch for?
