You can get a small indication by watching the ammeter on the charger, as the amperage drops the voltage increases. When the charger is down to the 2-5 amp charging stage is where the voltage climbs up to near max, that is the equalization stage.

Sorry... I was a little off on the price... I was under the impression that the bucket came with the kit... The dealer may give you a deal though... Ya never know... Here's the part numbers and prices...

AM1275201 - Precedent 12V TO 8V Conversion Kit - $345
103368401 - Precedent Electric Battery Bucket Assembly - $71.10

Conversion package, when part numbers listed above are ordered
together, includes all components and installation instruction necessary to convert a Precedent golf car to the 8-volt battery system. Components included are battery wires, hold downs, component mounting panel and shield, wire harness, charger receptacle, 4.0 OBC
and safety decals. Batteries are not included.

Thanks a bunch TahoeDawg That's still a great price.

Oh wait... batteries are not included??? Now that would have been a great price... with batteries... Just kidding...

Pricing out OBC's are around $250 - $350 alone so I feel the kit is a great price. Thanks once again

Where on earth are you getting prices like that on OBCs? Full retail cost at a dealer is only around $150.00

just got back home - charger has stopped, batteries are on 48.6v, thats after about 4 hours of charging.

Would bad, old, weak batteries not accept a longer charge cycle? Now that we've done so much talking, I'm second guessing my bad batteries and wondering if it's the OBC. That charger used to run for alot longer time. Will those dead batteries tell the charger to just shut off?

reading back over my last thread " no go in cold weather, something not right? " someone mentioned resetting the OBC....think I'll try that too...but I think those batteries are toast by all the comments.

A couple of examples. I did find one on eBay for $170. I was just checking prices when I found that I had a 2.05 version. Anyway my batteries are 1 1/2 years old and still fine. But when it's time I'll go with the kit and change out to 6 8 volts.

Thanks for the lead. If I can't get a decent price from my local CC dealer, just down the street, I'll order from your company for sure
