I work in a big warehouse with dozens of electric pallet jacks & fork lifts. The maintenance guys swear by Deka.

Plus I own a wake sport boat (Malibu Vride) & hang out on a couple of forums geared around these boats & the sports behind them. Mondo huge stereos with several amps & thousands of watts are the norm. Deka batteries tend to be very popular in that crowd too.

No clue how well they work in a cart though. Can't be bad. Might be worth checking for an outlet near your home.

I friend of mine was able to tour the Deka factory and said it was amazing. He works for a national automotive company that sells Deka and they have had tremendous luck with the product. Check locally and see if you can find any "seconds". They are reconditioned batteries with a 2 stamped on the side that can likely be picked up for a great price.

We just installed them in 799 GSA Army LSV units and really like the results.

Not to say my experience was typical, but I bought an ezgo that had 3 year old dekas in and they constantly bubbled/off gassed even when they weren't even in the car. They would off gas to the point to where battery acid was sitting on top of the battery, and no they weren't over filled. I just bought new Napa 8146's to replace them that are made by East Penn. We'll see how they perform.
