Powerdrive 48V charger problems

I am working on some newly acquired carts and I think I may have a faulty relay in my charger. The tag on the back of the Powerdrive 48V charger says that it was manufactured in 2005, and then rechecked in 2007. I attempted to charge my batts, but couldn't get anything out of the charger. I removed the cover to the charger and I can measure my incoming 120 VAC to the small black relay, but nothing out. I verified that the fuse and relay were functioning properly, too. What do you guys think?

Could jump relay to confirm it is the problem, and not something else.

That charger knows not what it does

The brain for that thing is on the cart...... the cart turns the charger on and off.....via the on board computer (OBC).

If the relay is clicking, but you have no output, then yes.. I think it's time to replace the relay.

OK, that's what I was thinking, too. From what the picture shows, jumping those two wires will only serve to trip the breaker for incoming power. Perhaps I am looking at it incorrectly (wouldn't be the first time).

I have only been able to confirm 120 VAC incoming, but no DC voltage is present anywhere.

The relay does not click at all when 120 VAC is applied.

I have a powerdrive 1 and 2, and they are both giving the same problem. Could the batteries be so low that they won't allow the charger to turn on? Because I know the batteries are all around 1.5-3 VDC right now.

You'll need 30 plus volts for that charger to kick in. Tahoe knows best but I believe it should be 70% of your original pack voltage in order for the OBC to turn on the charger.

I was afraid of that. How would you recommend I go about charging the batteries? I have several different 6 and 12 volt chargers.
