Default Update

Just took out the culprit battery and checked the voltage and specific gravity

Voltage reading 6.2 volts

Specific gravity

Cell 1 1.25
Cell 2 1.25
Cell 3 1.25
Cell 4 1.275

It is an 8 volt battery right? ..... Are they new? Are you sure the charger is connected correctly? They are all getting a charge? I am confused cuz those SG readings are 90% are you sure it is an 8v what the heck is going on

Yes its an 8 volt battery

Charger is working fine as far as i can see and hear the needle tries to kick in but doesnt, it moves about 1/4 inch and flicks back

All other batteries are at 100% charge

I checked the sg twice to be sure and both times it measured the same

The batteries are old in that i they were on the cart when i got it and as you may know from previous posts it was a bit of a junker, so i dont know how old they actually are. They are all T875

put the 12v charger on it for 1 hour (its out of the cart now), got it upto 8.75 volts (directly after charger disconnect) leaving it again for 1 hour and will check and report back

T875 is a Trojan battery and should have a date code stamped into the Negative terminal.

Bring it up to 10 volts with the charger on.... then read it after it sits for an hour and then 2 .... See if it can hold any kind of a charge

just checked it after 1 hour and its at at 8.41 volts sg,s are the same as above will check again in the am

Here's the readings

9.15pm - 8.41 volts
10.30 pm - 8.41 volts
7.30 am - 8.35 volts

Looks like its back

What on earth could have happened?
