I'm a little shocked!....
when touching a batt. post, motor, controller, and my body is touching any metal on the cart. I get a consistent jolt...I got a short somewhere. It's not a jolt, it's almost like a low voltage burn. Any ideas, other check all your wires?

Disconnect the negative battery cable and see if it still does it.
Also, if you can feel the voltage you can also measure it. This will help determine the source. |

Re: I'm a little shocked!....
any crud on the top of your batteries can transfer voltage to the tie downs, then to the frame.... just enough to tingle....

If there is water across the top of a battery can cause this also. Not washing water but battery water. From over filling and charging gases venting out on top.

Re: I'm a little shocked!....
Ok, disconnected pos. and neg. batts., I was a little paranoid...you see I was turning a nut on the controller and my wrench contactd one of the other posts and my knee was touching the chasis....Shazaam....I got such a pleasureable jolt I dropped the the wrench right on my face. I squinted really hard because my hands were tied up and it hit me right in the mouth and knocked out 4 teeth..................................Not really, but it could have! But I do have a short somewhere, when I put v-meter on any pos. batt. post and the blk on the cart ir reads 50v. How are my batts. makeing contact with the chasis. Thank youl.

Water out of the batteries. Cable rubed insulation off and shorted.
