Default 06 Precedent Battery cable spark.

I was hooking up a set of lights for my Precedent. I disconnected the battery cables on one of the batteries. After running the wires for the lights I was putting the cables back on the battery and it popped and made a big spark. I thought I had fried something. I went ahead and hooked evrerything up and it works fine.I did notice the back up alarm wouldn't work until I turned on the key and mashed the accelerator. Has anyone else experienced this?

If you didn't put the tow/run switch in tow then the capacitor was trying to charge the second you touched the terminal..

no big deal now, but you could've fried your controller..

you must always put the tow/run switch in tow before you disconect a battery cable on a IQ system. The back up alarm didn't come on because you needed to reactivate the system. There should be a warning sticker by the tow/run explaning this.
