Default new battery installation

alright guys, ordered 4 new US 12v batteries to replace my worn trojans....should be able to install this weekend....i've read all about the proper charging before driving....now where's that thread about how to actually un-hook the old batteries and install the new ones. I know i've read a thread about a certain sequence to follow but i can't find it now.

any help?

Is this for your DS? I've never seen a DS with 12v batteries. But basically you start by making sure the key switch is off, F/R switch is in neutral, Tow/Run Switch (if you have it) is in Tow, Use a wrench that is taped off so if you drop it, it won't short out across the terminals. Start on the negative side of the over all pack, and unhook the wire that goes through the OBC. Then simply start unhooking all the wires on the batteries, making any mental notes where any accessories were connected. Connection is simply reverse of that. Your OBC will reset when you are live again, press once, on the gas pedal, nothing will happen and the battery light will flash, then you are ready to go.

I'll be there the last week of June. I love that place! Congrats on the new batteries. You'll like the US Batteries.

gone through a couple of charge cycles......surprisingly...hit a new top speed....got to 25 mph, almost too fast for the neighborhood.

all is well with the new batts.
