Charger problems
I purchased new batteries today for a cart that I re-built, but have never run! The problem is, the charger will come on but does not show DC amps on the meter. I am trying to charge an 2002 IQ cart with a power drive 2 charger. From what I have been reading the charger should come on and shut off to read voltage, then come back on to charge. THIS ANT HAPPENING!!! I am scared that it will fry my batteries if I leave it on! I dont think the charger is working proberley........
THANKS!!! |

Re: Charger problems
Hey guys changed obc. Charger comes on same as with other obc. I left charger on for about five minutes and it kicked off. Battery pack was 50.4 % before I hooked charger up. Do you think batteries are at 100% ?

Re: Charger problems
it takes at least 20 or so charge cycles to get new batteries up to 100%.just don't let them run down less than say 75% for this period of time and you should have a set of batts that will last.good luck

Re: Charger problems
Hooked up charger last night got up this morning charger was off. Checked battery pack 49.6 not good. Hooked charger up to another cart and it worked. checked volts at receptacle where you plug charger in to 36 volts Changed the end on positive wire and charger works Thought I wood post it might help someone in the future.
