charged each of the batteries, one by one. Plugged in the charger and it's working!! Maybe I'm on the road to recovery!

Hello again. The charger ran all night - about 12 hours - and it's still on. Volt reading is 40.2. Amp meter on charger is at 6. Am I making any progress??

Yes! Let it run....... but shut it off at 16 hours.....not a good sign if it does not shut off by it's self ..... Then we need to wait for the charge to settle to get a true voltage reading....

If the charger will not shut off by itself within 16 hours, it indicates 1 or more batteries are coming up to the needed voltage.

Voltage and SG readings will be falsely elevated immediately after charging.... It may take as little as 1 or as much as 12 hours for the pack to settle to a true reading.

hope this helps.....

yes, it does help. I didn't understand about letting the charge settle. I will be sure to disconnect at 16 hours.

Thanks again!

still running @ 16.5 hours you will know you have more battery or charger problems = shut it off and wait at least 1 hour before taking a reading then again at 4 hrs and 8 hrs and 12hrs...... we can see it they h0ld a charge sitting?

Okay - just to be sure ... I am using a digital voltmeter and testing where the charger plugs in. Facing the charger plug hole - putting the red probe in the hole on the right and the black probe in the hole on the left.

When the charger shuts off at 16 hours or when I unplug it at 16.5 hours, should I then try to start the cart or wait??

ARGH!!! Gimme a gasoline powered cart!!
