74 Caroche F/R Switch Conversion

Hello,

Can anyone please help with ANY information, diagram, schematic or anything that can help with retrofitting the 83 1/2 and up model F/R switch into a 1974 model? I've searched and haven't been able to do myself any good, if anything I've really managed to confuse myself. If there is anyone who has any advice, I'd be most appreciative.

Welcome pmac0101,
1. Make a diagram of your F&R wiring note where all of the cables and wires go and what they do ......
2. Compare your diagram to this rough sketch of mid 80s F&R wiring.
3. figure out where & how to mount it ... you may need longer cables? IDK.
