WOT Top Speed Drop After MCOR Replacement
I kinda hid this question in my last reply/update on a previous thread, so thought I'd start it off right.......
I recently had some work done by a local dealer, most specifically to replace my MCOR which was causing mid throttle jumpiness/studdering; while the new MCOR seemed to solve that issue, when I got back and ran a few typical runs, I have noticed a drop off in speed!!!! WTF....Could this be related to the new MCOR? Brakes (I had those adjusted, and no they dont seem to be dragging??? dont hear or 'feel' a drag. I seem to notice more going up slight inclines. If I understand the basics of the MCOR (resistor/VAR) could it be its not allowing full swing?? Is there any mechanical adjustments possible that may help? |

Re: WOT Top Speed Drop After MCOR Replacement
You can adjust the Accel. pedal to increase travel, if the MCOR is not going to full position.
Under the car, look at the accel pedal, there is a 9/16 nut and bolt on the accel. pedal on a slotted rod, loosen the nut and bolt, slightly move the pedal in desired direction, and retighten, 2 minutes and your done. I always question when a shop adjusts brakes, if it is like shops around here, they just tighten the cable and call it good. Hard brake pedal, with little braking power. So you may still want to look at that. |

I doubt I'll have a shop do any more that I can't handle; I have done this rebuild myself but ran into one MCOR I didn't have ability to handle, so had them do a small list of little things I should have done myself...live and learn I guess |
