Default 88 36v club car ds charging problem

Hello, i'm having a problem with my 88 36 volt club car ds. When I go to charge the cart up the charger will only run for about an hour then shut off. I borrowed another charger from a friend thinking it was a charger problem and it did the same thing. I checked the voltage of the batteries after the charger shuts off and the cart sat for a few hours and they all were right around 6.2volts. The state of charge meter on the cart also shows a low charge in the batteries. The cart will drive fine, it just runs like it has low charge. I was starting the think the batteries are bad but wouldnt the charger still run its full charge time? Any help would be great appreciated.

Are you sure you have an 88? That is pre OBC. So both chargers must have seen enough voltage to shut off? 6.2 times 6 = 37.2. Is that what you are getting after the charge has settled? How old are the batteries?

The first 2 #'s on the serial # are 88. Its the setup that has the line of solenoids behind the battery pack, not v-glide. I havent checked the pack voltage I'll have to do that tomorrow. I'm unsure how old the batteries are. I just had the cart given to me and the person I got it from said the cart worked fine last time they used it. I'm assuming it sat most of the winter, but when I got it the batterys werent completely dead, still had enough power to move the cart.

37.5 is 80% 0f capacity .... looks like you might have a battery problem. Can you check them with a hydrometer?
