Terminology and the newbie.
Is there a place where we can get information as to when and what were changed on the carts in what years? Also what the terminology means. Like what is a v-glide. Sounds like a Harley to me. What is a DS or a DSC or an IQ and what is the difference. Which are 48V? What is a resistor cart? Someone could become famous if they would write a sticky for a newbies guide to the CC. I recently purchased a '98 CC and now realize that I don't know the language. Any guidance appreciated.
Thanks |

Re: Terminology and the newbie.
DS is the body style they used from late 70s-80s all the way up to currently being produced... So a majority of the club cars out there are all DS.
If you have a I.Q. car(which you don't) your serial number will start AQ; or PQ if its a precedent I.Q. A 48v club car will have 4 water holes per battery a 36v 3... a v-glide is a speed control device its between the batteries on the driver side and middle batteries is sorta shaped like a V. hence gliding contacts, v shape = v-glide. year changes are gradual and overlapping. They still make the 36v d.s. and are producing the i.q. precedent. so it's not exactly that easy. |
