Charger will not turn off
Another questions for the Pros....
I have a 36 volt automatic charger model number 13800 made by Lester... The charger will not turn off....Before you ask...all batteries are new and cables are good...Have tested this charger on two carts...Its charging the batteries to over 7 volts.... I saw a post on here from Feb but wasnt really answered.... Also checked google with no results.. I emailed Lester electrical and they have not returned my email yet... Hoping some of my pro buddies will know how to test and fix this thing... Thanks Bill |

Re: Charger will not turn off
Batteries should charge to over 8 volts, so you should check charger output.
Most of the time on a non shutting off charger of this model type its because you have a bad diode or the timer is no good. |

Re: Charger will not turn off
Hang on to your steering wheels, I am reviving this old thread! I want to say thank you for the contact info kirkroediger. Even though this post is 4 years old, I took a chance and left a message for George. He called me right back and he diagnosed my problem within 5 min and gave me a part number. I honestly think he is one of the nicest, friendliest and most helpful people I have ever talked too on the phone, speaks volumes for how customer service "should be" at any business.

Re: Charger will not turn off
This happened to my 2001 DS. It ended up being the charge computer mounted under the back rest in the battery bay.
