Default controller worth the $$$$ ??

Hello all
I have a 1998 CC 48v series cart with a 36v motor upgrade
The motor change really helped the top speed (11mph to 19mph)
Is a controller upgrade worth the money for more torque when carrying passengers? Thanks

Hello, your stock controller is about 300amps so a 400amp controller would give you 33% increase in torque which will help you get up to speed quicker Glad to hear that the 36v motor is making a big difference in you cart ...

ScottyB is spot on, I know he doesn't need my validation, but a bigger controller gave my ds alot more torque. In other words, it's worth the $$, just decided what other future upgrades are in store, so you know what controller to get.

How about a cable upgrade to 4 guage welding multi strand cables. Make sure you replace ALL cables not just battery cables.
I have now seen ( 3 ) 48 volt carts changed to 36 volt motors and can see major increase in speed and power ( TORQUE ). Must be the heavier windings in 36 volt motors?? Have never taken the time to compare winding size.
