3 new batteries
I bought 3 new batteries today. Can someone tell me which 3 I should replace first. I am going to buy 3 more new next month. My cart does not hold a charge very long because the batteries are old and were not taken care of before I bought the cart. Any replies would be appreciated

Re: 3 new batteries
Really you are going about this the wrong way if you have bad batteries all the way around now. Just how old are your current batteries? Trojans have date code on neg terminal.

Re: 3 new batteries
Honestly i think you should be very aware of the fact that mixing in new to old batteries especially more than 2yrs older is not something you want to do. Your new batteries are gonna be put in the mix and they are going to be stressed from the old ones so much as to have them fail prematurely typically.
But if you must mix new to old the only real way to see wich batts are better than the others is to load test each one or get a hydrometer and test the SG of each and every cell. Then look in the stickys here to get your results of the readings you take. |

Re: 3 new batteries
If it were mine i would put up with the low run time now and when you get your other 3 next month install them all at once and be good to go for a good while. But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do i know been there.

Re: 3 new batteries
Glad you decided to go this route... If replacing them one at a time is a MUST, I highly recommend trying used ones of approximately the same age.
