Many different voltage reducers out there ........ which one do you have? 2 wire model from club car? or 4 wire aftermarket?

Connect 2 of the three wires to your batteries and the third to the terminal block...

Of course this won't help you because we still don't have enough information from you... garbage in... garbage out so how about this:

Is your voltage limiter a 48 to 12v, 36 to 12v or 16 to 12v. Can you post a picture of it and/or state the brand, did it come with directions, in other words give us the information we need to give you the information you need.

For example a 48 volt to 12v would need to have the input power of the converter connected to the entire battery pack with the 12v output to the terminal block. A voltage limiter might be a 16v to 12v and would need to have the input voltage from 2 8v batteries and the 12v output to the terminal block.

OK... your turn...

Is it long and silver in color? It sounds like a Club Car 18 to 12v reducer?

Regardless of brand of voltage reducer be sure and add a switch so power from batterys is off to reducer except when needed.
Saw a complete burn down here in park a year ago because of being hooked up all the time. Shorted out setting year old cart and new shed on fire during night, complete loss??

I put an on/off switch on the output side side of my 48 to 12 voltage reducer. Will that suffice or does switch need to be before input? And I get a good little spark when I hook up the positive side of the voltage reducer to the pack. I had trouble locating a 48V dc rated switch which is why I put a 12V switch on the output side.

Thanks
