I need more Tq.
So I have a 94, 36v. I live in a community that is sort of hilly and was wondering where to start? I really hate going up the road at 6 mph.
Controller? Solenoid? Gears? I'm not looking to go the full monty all at once, but I would like to get the right stuff. Things I could add to later. Maybe a few hundred here and a few hundred there. I dont really have any experience with these things. |

Re: I need more Tq.
Is it a controller or a resistor cart?

Controller cart, sir.
The alltrax looks tempting, but I don't think I want to throw myself out of the house getting parts for my newest toy. |

Spridle, you could talk to the guys at plumquick one of the new sponsors here, I have one of there motors in my 03, it gave me a boost in speed and a little more torque. I am sure that they will be able to get you set up with a motor that will meet your needs. You can always upgrade the controller later.

Re: I need more Tq.
Frizbgolf has the right idea, look into the Plum Quick motor. I have a very large, long, steep hill at my campground that I was worried about after I lifted the cart. I talked to the guys at Plum Quick and they set me up with one of the purple motors (Bandit). They said I should expect about 25%-30% increase in torque and I believe that is what I got. Before, with the stock gray GE motor, the cart would slow down to about 6 mph up the hill. Now, even with the lift, I can accelerate up the hill! I have not clocked the speed with the GPS yet (this weekend!) but there is a big difference. I am really happy and the cost was within reason. I may look at a new controller next season, but for now the PQ Bandit worked wonders.
