Default Club Car charger fried

Can anyone tell me if a newer EZ Go Precedent 36 volt charger can be wired for a 91 Club Car ? or if not will the transformer from the EZ Go work in the Club Car charger.

Thanks in advance.

You lost me with the E-Z-GO Precedent part.... Club Car makes the Precedent. If you're trying to use an EZGO 36V charger on a 36V Club Car that will be fine, just change the DC cord to match your car... Never mix voltages... ie, a 48V Charger on a 36V car or vice versa.

Yes David my bad, The EZ Go has a three wire plug and my ClubCar has a two wire plug, the third wire goes from plug to the control board and the club car doesn't use a third wire.

Where would I connect the third wire to.?

Connect the small red wire to the Negative lead which is the transformer wires. It will work then.
