Can someone tell me if this is a good gharger to use when converting CC DS 36v to 48v?
![]() Is the Power Drive Charger an automatic type. I'm not so concerned about plugs as I am with cycles and auto shut off. This is to be used on a series 1989 CC cart. |

Assuming the charger is rated for 48v and the current output is between 20-30 amps, it should be OK. However, I am no CC expert and am not familiar with the requirements so, better wait for more informed sources to help you.

I believe that charger is cycled on and off via the OBC in club cars. I don't think it will work without the OBC. You might be able to rig it to charge but knowing when to shut her down will be the problem. If the charger plug has more than the + and - inside the plug the others are for an OBC connection.

The Yamaha 48v I got was older and worked for the MELEX conversion. I was wondering what other chargers are available to fit a simple series cart 48v conversion? ( New or Used )

The factory charger's from C/C have the OBC stuff in them and want cut off when charged. You can put a timer on it so it only charges for a certain amount of time.
There are a bunch of 48 volt chargers just do a google for 48 volt chargers. |

you are better off with a 48v yamaha charger, or even a 48v ez-go charger (there are a few out there)..

Is ther any aftermarket stuff that's good? Or are we limited to using early Ezgo or Yamaha 48v chargers? Thanks for the replies.
