Welcome to BGW, I have never seen a cart sized ride with joystick controls.
It may be feasible to rig a servo to steer it.
Lets see if other members have seen a setup for this.

GOOD LUCK

I have seen a cart and because of my own personal problems have built one myself with thumb speed control and combined brake control that still requires a good hand to control, but nothing suitable for steering as well? It would be easier to get one of the HD wheel chairs with 4 wheel drive, with lug type tires that are available from handicap supply sources. I can furnish you a local contact company that might be of some help in finding such a wheel chair if you wish?

Looks like they have some thing, you could make work for the steering--

RIB33024-- As a Korean disabled vet ( arms fair to good but legs not much ) and NOT BEING A QUADRIPLEGIC I have had to use many poorly designed scooters and wheel chairs through the last 55 years. While still able to finance a test rig, I have gone through many of my own non engineered test blunders from hydraulic to battery tests. Those indicated actuators could be a good possibility for steering applications to replace rack and pinion club car steering, If sealing against weather is possible and of course costs? I earlier tried a HD remote control system ( similiar to hobby control ) that didnt seem to have the strength for standard golf cart steering add on. Another of the main problems is amount of equipment needed in the way of entering cart by a wheel chair bound person. I had suscess with a fold down ramp for wheel chair entry that worked fairly well but put heavy load on battery pack along with having to extend the cart into a wheel chair space in front of batterys and motor ( longer wheel base and additional weight ). I thought of a rack and pinion steering with battery power steering pump but again price is extreme. The best way I see that might work is to use multi directional motors mounted to each front wheel by direct connection? Using this setup I feel still would be hard pressed to take the electric 1000 pound cart load? This again goes back to wheel chairs made for this type of application but with many restrictions on speed and power and of course again price.
Anyone out there have any ideas that might make it possible to build a reasonably priced cart conversion?? SORRY Have plenty of time but no funds anymore?

Welcome Leprof, to the best golf cart site on the internet!
No apologize needed, we have English speaking people here that are hard to understand!
Where are you located?
I think it would be fairly easy to convert anything to joystick,
I'm collecting parts now to set up our Pontoon boat with steering and throttle F/R control joystick.
Forgive my ignorance about your sons challenges but what range of movement does he have to control the stick?
I'm only asking so consideration can be given to the travel parameters of the stick.

This is the only thing I have come across... it's not quite a joystick but it is hand controls.
