What is the best light kit for 98 club car 48V
I've got a 98 club car DS 48 Volt and I'm wondering if anyone knows the best light kit for this. I'm seeing ones with voltage converters and reducers. Some need soldering some don't.
I'm not an expert on golf carts so I'm not sure what kit would be best. I at least want headlights and taillights. Turn signals and brake would be ok if not too hard to install. I also saw that some run off two batteries and some the whole battery pack which I would think would last longer. I appreciate your help. |

If it was me I would get the kit with the voltage converter that runs off the full pack that way if you ever want to install a radio or anything 12v you will be all set up for it.

Thanks for the response. I was thinking the converter kit would be better also. I'm wondering if anyone knows a specific brand or site for "the best kit". Maybe something that has automotive connectors and harnesses etc.
Thanks, Dave |

Re: What is the best light kit for 98 club car 48V
Put in a separate 12v battery, mobility scooter battery. (very small and manageable) Mine is rated at 35 ah, which runs as much as i need right now. OLD MEC on the forum has a higher AH version. Dont forget a aux battery wont put any drain on your pack. Use LED bulbs they are lower in amp draw and work wonderfully. Mounted my battery on a fabricated frame under the seat, on the cross member. Used aluminum angle from Lowe's and 1/8 th long rivets
