Resetting the OBC

A sticky at the top of CC electric cars. Just click on the link to walk you through resetting the OBC.

OBC is only for controling the battery charger and has nothing directly to do with cart operation otherwise.

Correct for the most part but if there is an OBC failure it could activate the OBC Solenoid Lockout Circuit causing the cart to not run, just like when in charge mode.

Onboard computer failure Test Procedure 2 Onboard Computer
Solenoid Lockout Circuit on page 11-15.

/** As it says I am not yet wild, just learning, so beware **/

Not sure what led you to the OBC, but to my knowledge the only way the OBC can keep the cart from moving is if it prevents the solenoid from firing. The OBC does this to prevent you from driving off with the charger connected.

If you really believe the OBC is the issue, you can bypass that lockout circuit to see if the cart moves. I know how to do this on my 02 Series cart, but would have to look at your specific wiring.
