Default Need wiring help!

Recently acquired a 2008 Carryall 2 with a eight 6 volt battery system. Headlights and taillights do not work. These lights appear to be Club Car. Found under the floor board on drivers side what I believe to be a converter which looks like SF Electronics marked on it. There are five wires coming from the converter. A white wire goes forward and I lost it going into the dash. A red wire and a black wire leave the converter together. The red wire goes into a harness toward the front of the cart. The black goes to what I believe is a grounding strip near the charger plug. A yellow wire and a blue wire leave the converter together. The yellow wire is attached to a black wire in another harness. This harness runs from the charger receptacle to the electrical panel behind the batteries. The blue wire goes toward the positive terminal of the battery pack but is not connected to any thing. The end of the blue wire has what looks like battery corrosion on it. It appears that this blue wire was connected to the positive terminal. But this doesn't make sense to me. I would have expected the red wire to go to the positive power source. Also there are no instructions on converter as to where any wires should go. Please help.
