I don't know the difference between resister or v-glide systems.

I have a wiper switch assembly and behind the batteries is a resistor group assembly.

Most melted battery terminals are caused by a loose connection.
YES. Remove any and all frame grounding. The Electric golf cart is a two wire system. Positive & Negative. If you want lights or stereo use 2 wires. There are many unprotected components bolted to the frame. (motor, controller, etc)

So..... The charger fuse has a power wire come in to one side of the fuse, go out on the other side of the fuse. There is a little wire connected on one of the fuse terminals, too. That wire is broken off and not connected on the other end to anything. What is it for and where does it go?

Does it possibly go to the reverse buzzer? I can't tell from the wire diagrams I am able to find. Detail A is not shown in expanded or zoomed detail.

I just checked my reserve buzzer and found a white wire goes to the main solenoid. There is only one wire on the buzzer.

I need aclose up diagram for the fuse wiring.

I have a small third wire that is cut off about 18 inches from the output terminal of the fuse.

The main power wires passing through thefuse are all intact.

Scottyb

thanks for hanging in there with me.

This is the diagram I have been referencing.

This shows two wires going to the reverse buzzer. My buzzer only has a single terminal and a single wire that goes to the
main selonoid.

Do you have batteries in it yet? Maybe we should just concentrate on making it run?

No batteries yet, but hopefully in a couple of days. Still a charger too.

$500 for batteries is not pocket change for me.

Being so new to all of this I am fearful of installing new batteries only to totally fry something. This is why I am so concerned about verifying the existing wiring.

Finding the ground wire to the frame and only a single wire to thereverse switch make
medoubtthe rest of the connections.

I got access to the reverse buzzer and uninstalled it. I do see a broken off terminal, so this may have been were that orange wire went.

I will try to post some pictures sometime soon. I am new to this site, so I don't know how easy that will be.

I did find new batteries for $425 plus tax. I hope to buy them tomorrow.
