I installed new batteries tonight. I used the online schematics. Everything works great. Yeah!!!

Of course there are a few bugs to chase down: bumpy tire or wheel, brake adjustments, and of course cosmetics and swapping out some corroded wires/connectors.

I called club car today about the serial number not matching up with the speed control system. They said my cart must have been one of the first ones off the production line with the new system scheduled for 2008 release, and they changed over production early.

Now, I wonder if there is any justifiable reason to consider converting this cart over to a solid state electronic speed control from the existing v system. The place I bought my batteries told me that my battery life would be cut in half (2-3yrs) because of the resistor coil set up I have. They said an electronic controller would allow 5-8 years of battery life.

I still need a charger.
