Testing Batteries on a 36v
First let me apologize if this information existed. I searched and searched and my lack of computer skills may have caused me to miss these intructions. How do I test my batteries to see if they are all good? I have a 2008 EZ GO with the forward and reverse on the dash. I think it is a PDS? Anyway I want to know how to test the batteries please.

Re: Testing Batteries on a 36v
Your cart is 2 yrs old. Do you have reason to believe your batteries are not good? A voltmeter and hydrometer will give a good idea of the general health of the batteries .... beyond that is a load test .

Re: Testing Batteries on a 36v
Here is why I say I am concerned When I left to go out for a spin in the neighborhood the bettery meter on the dash read full. I went about two miles and teh weight in the cart was about 380 lbs of passengers me and one other. We were crawling up hill. I get back and the bettery meter reads a line above half. BUT! When it gets to a flat surface it has pull. Just really never knew if batteries were ok. Last time me, my wife and toddlers were out no problem at all. Thoughts?

Re: Testing Batteries on a 36v
If you are sure you have 2 year old batterys that are going bad you dont want to replace only the bad ones as that will cause damage to the new ones by over charging them. I know its alot of expense but when changing batterys replace ( ALL ) with new ones with same date code and be sure of not having some with older shelf life .

Re: Testing Batteries on a 36v
Be sure to break the new batterys in correctly. Look at stickies above for info.
DO NOT RUN CART UNTIL AFTER CHARGING BATTERYS FIRST. |
