Default removing throttle and brake peddle DS Model??

I'm wanting to replace my floor mat on my DS 91 CC and wanted to know if there is an easy way to remove the throttle and brake peddle to slide the old mat off and a new one over.

They look like they are welding on the top side and I'm concerned that the holes will not fit over them. I really do not want to have to remove them from the bottom side as that looks a whole lot more complicated.

Am I just imagining this or do I have to remove them from the linkage side under the cart?

Thanks.

I have had fair luck with using soap and water in thick paste form and by pivoting the mat around so you can slide it over pedals? Its easier with at least 2-3 people if not more. Soap it down good before trying to install new mat. Take all pedal pads off gives you a little extra room. Its not easy but much easier than taking pedals off?

Thanks, OLD MEC.. That actually sounds better than trying to take the linkages off. I'm willing to try and stretch that sucker or even cut the holes a little more..

Most people just give up and cut a slit up from the break peddle to the top edge ..... seems they have better things to do

Cut the old matt off with a razor knife.... Then, take the new mat and flip it over and spray WD40 pretty heavily around the pedal holes.... Then. Take a long flat blade screwdriver and finesse the mat around the brake pedal first, then twist it counter clockwise and then tackle the accel pedal. If you do it just right it will not rip or tear at all.
