Electric Club Car Won't Move
Hi everyone, the club car at work stopped working the other day. I use it on a daily basis, along with others at work. The other day someone was using it and it stopped working. When I tryed to start it I turned the key on and hit the pedal and it just clicked. The charger seems to be working properly, and I'm not sure how old the batteries are but the cart was working great up until the other day when I think it just quick, but I'm not to sure because I wasn't around. I pulled the seat off to check things over, and all the wires and connections look good and clean. I also found one fuse that I checked, and it was also good. I pulled the fuse and hit the pedal and nothing, no click, but when I reinstalled it began to click again upon pushing the pedal. The only info I could find was on the electric motor that said Yamaha DC Motor,
V 36, 3300 RPM, time rating 30 min, part # JH7-H1890-1Q, date code NKN. I am not too familiar with golf carts, and could use all the help to get it going again. Thanks, and any ideas. |

Re: Electric Club Car Won't Move
There should be a serial number on the passenger side dash if its a club car. The first two numbers are the year. Once you have the year you can look at the wire diagam above to confirm everything is wired right. First thing I would check is the year so you know if you are gonna be checking solenoids or switches.

Re: Electric Club Car Won't Move
Where on the passenger side dash? I looked all over the dash today, in the cubby holes, everywhere, and didn't see anything. The cart is fairly new, if I were to guess I would think it is no more than 10 years old at the most. Anything I should check.

Check to see if it is a Yamaha Yamaha motors are typically found in Yamaha golf carts Go to the members rides section and see if you can find and identify a cart which looks exactly like yours? Or better yet post a pic of your cart and we can tell you what it is

I'm with Scottyb on this... I've never seen a Yamaha motor on a Club Car.
