Default 48 volt club car batt light stays on

I just updated my cart to a new alltrax controller and new D&D motor. Everything is working great but after about 10 mins or so my charger stops charging and the batt light stays on? Any ideas?

Remember that you are putting an heavier load on batterys with new high draw? motor and controller. Check your batterys for specific gravity in each cell and compare with STICKIES chart above. You didnt say what year or model you have so there could be a possible OBC problem and you might try reseting it, so again go to Stickies for proper info on how to do it for your model.

Did you upsize your battery cables? If so do you still have an active battery cable running thru the obc?

This cable needs to be hooked up for OBC to work.

You could get by without running your pack ground cable through OBC IF you have a charger ( OTHER THAN A Club CAR ) and it is automatic or timer controlled? If a 4 guage cable with end is too large to go through your OBC I have added a extra 6 guage cable so you dont need to put new end on 4 guage after going through OBC.
DO NOT DRILL OUT OBC because there a series of small wires around opening that acting as sensor and if cut will ruin OBC. This I learned the hard way??

Ok, Im not running thru the obc, the 4awg wire is going around it. I did reset the obc last night and then the charger stayed on all night and was off this morning, I took the cart for a quick run and it ran great! I do have the power drive charger and it is automatic charger, but it did shut off this morning at some point. The light issue has seemed to gone away after I had reset the obc. But will I do harm to the cart/obc if the -line from the battery pack doesnt not go thru the obc? Thanks for all the help! Another quick question, I have the programable 500 alltrax controller and I want to take some of the take off torque out, is this difficult to do?
