Sounds like you may have the motor cables switched around. Find a wiring diagram for your cart in the stickies at the top of this section and check all the motor cable routes.

i suggest you double check everything as you should only have 18 volts for reverse as its a half speed setup..................................

Did you use one wrench to remove the nuts holding the cables to the motor or two wrenches??

rib33024, I used a wrench on all off them be one, it started to spin, so i grinded down a crapy china wrench to fit the post nut under it then i removed the wire that way.... do you think i damaged something?

ok, let me check with the pro's....

A1 is the purple wire going to the forward / reverse switch
A2 is gray wire going to the coils
S1 is a black wire going to the front part of the forward / reverse switch
S2 is black wire going to the (-) post on the 36 volt battery series

is this correct?

if you spun a stud on the motor depending on how much you turned it its quite possible there was damage done inside motor........only way to tell for sure is take motor off...................if you just nudged it a bit?????? but if you went anywheres near a 3/4 or full turn i would take mototr off...............
