also keep in mind a clicking noid dosn,t mean its good.......start with cables as mantioned and than do voltage readings on each battery a 36 volt cart you want at least 6. 3 or so volts per battery........if they test good jack rear up and jump large post on solenoid turn key on put in gear see if cart runs if so replace solenoid..........if not load test batteries as you could have one dropping out under load and that will stop the cart, get a wiring diagram you should be able to find one here go over all cables and wires and check cables to motor look for burnt spots right at lugs and check for tightness if any are loose you need be very careful when working on them take a good look they have a double nut on them one under cable lug and one on top you need to hold the bottom one tight to get the other one tight or loose........if whole stud is turning thats a whole different ballgame....................oh check those batts for water if any are dry it could be the batts.....................

Do I need to order a replacement solenoid for this cart, or can I see if Napa has a 36V solenoid?

and those are sooooo much fun to fix lmao....

Yeah, definately do not buy a solenoid from Napa... they carry great parts for your car, but NOT for your cart lmao

i have checked all the connection and tightened as well. Everything seems to be in good shape. The solenoid is clicking when the pedal in compressed.

The sound that i am hearing is not constant, but a slight buzz off one of the terminals of one of the batteries and only lasts a couple of seconds. It must be doing it often though because i have heard it 4 or 5 times.

i will check the voltage tonight, let me know if you have any other ideas. Thanks

No, i picked it up a couple weeks ago, was not on the charger and probably hadnt been for a while and it drove around and had plenty of get up and go. After getting it home and driving it into the garage, i tried to pull back out and it wouldnt do anything. This is after i charged it.

Noise at a battery post may be a bad connection..make sure all posts/connectors are clean and tight.
Also, if there is sleeving covering the crimp/solder joint (the noisy terminal) check under the sleeving for corrosion/broken wire.
