Exclamation 97 Club Car "Trans Sender" Limo Cart

Hey all, I've been reviewing many of the posts here for the past week or so. I bought a 1997 Club Car "Trans Sender" Limo Cart. It appears this is the commercial/industrial version. J 9739-608XXX. I am trying to find threads regarding the possibility of upgrading the body style to something nicer looking. The guy from the golf cart distributor company near me(Dallas, TX) said I cannot upgrade the body to a newer look. I am hoping this isn't true as I don't like the aluminum look on the "cowl" of the cart(front isn't too bad). What, if anything, can I do to make this better looking. Ultimately, if it was affordable, I'd like to get a lift and a nice body put on it. The body is far more important than the lift. I've had no luck finding body cowls for limo carts, particularly for a 1997 Club Car that isn't the run of the mill CC body. I have attached a few pictures(body, motor, and computer controller). If you can tell me anything about the motor and/or computer controller, that would be appreciated as well.

you may have to go custom and find someone that way i do not beleive they make another style cowl for it..................you can check regular C.C. carts that you like the front end look and see what it will take to make one fit, it might be as simple as having to drill some holes to mount it.................

I think that if you squint at it and play with some paint and graphics it would look less boxy
and could be a nice ride. The green nose screams fleet cart. just thinnen

The body other than stock front is custom built and unless you can find some one that can build you a one off fiberglass replacements Im afraid you are stuck with what you have? The center seat I have seen advertised in fiberglass that matches the front stock body some what, but most carts when stretched use the stock rear body which you might be able to use but it would seem that you would have to remake your 3rd seat to fit?
The second picture is of your OBC ( on board computer ) that controls the charging of your battery pack by connecting with a factory battery charger and is used by all Club Cars. This setup give the best battery care and charging than most other chargers.
The motor is a stock Club Car motor, but I am surprised with the added seating that they didnt use a heavier duty, higher HP motor? It may be that you have a higher amp solid state controller which helps with the loads you could have at times? Most of the streached carts are made for confined areas like a parks, airports, normally flat areas, etc so speed is not as important.

It doesn't suprise me that they left that low HP motor in there, Customers are always asking for reduced costs and the dealers give them what they want by skimping on certain items..... It's a shame, but it happens all the time.

As for the body, I do believe that is a "normal" body option from Club Car as it looks remarkably like some of the CarryAll models I have been playing with lately. The best I can tell you regarding it would be to either try wrapping it or do as a customer of mine did and "clad" the body in wood. He did an awesome job of making a "wooden" cart that was backed by that nice aluminum body.

Just an FYI for future reference, that ugly green plastic front end is actually called the "cowl" and there are many options out there made from fiberglass that can be used to replace it.
