97 cc DS problems
Ok here is the scoop. I bought a 97 cc DS series cart that, well took a swim. When I got it there was no solenoid, one battery case was split open, and it had not ran in a year. I put a solenoid on it, did not run, motor controller, still no dice. then I learn that I over tightened the solenoid and busted it, so I bought another one. I put it on still nothing. I could jump across it and it ran. I read a lot of posts and decided to try bypassing the obc. Did that and it ran. now I am questioning why. is it solenoid or obc?

Re: 97 cc DS problems
if you ran a jumper from the solenoid to the neg terminal on #6 battery and the cart ran than yes its the OBC........if your dash battery light is red that means its the original and they had problems with them so replace the OBC and you should be good to go...........it would be nice if you could return the controller and motor but i don,t think they will take them back once installed, what type of soleniod did you buy? the plastic albright? if so i have had a bunch of them bad right out of the box so i only use white rodgers HD 48 volt noids........its possible you had 2 problems bad solenoid and bad OBC ..............................
