I have 36 volt clubcar that is slow as christmas is there any way to make it faster other than replacing the motor or some other high dollar fix. We use it in a campground in Townesend TN its very hilly. The car runs good on flat ground just not up the hills ive been told that maybe u could re program something i dont know please advise thanks

Are you currently running in the 12-15mph range on flat ground? Losing speed on hills and obsticles you may run over is just a normal experience with these carts especially the 36v variety. The mcor is not the weak link and you may get some difference with a bigger controller, but i think the only way really is a 48v upgrade. or you could sell or trade up to a 48v or modified cart.

Call the boys at plumquick motors with your motor as a core and $225 plus shipping you could get a rewound 36v motor that will increase torque and speed by roughly 20 to 30 % wouldn't have to change anything else as long as it is a controller cart. I did this with my cart of course mine is an 03 48v but I would say that is probably the cheapest way to get a little more speed and torque. Hope that helps.
