Bad obc?
97 48V cc. i have replace all the batteries and charger still will not shut off. It drops to about 10amps and holds there until i unplug it. I thought i had read on here that the obc also works the back up alarm. My back up alarm only works about 1/3 of the time. After i charge that cart i still seem really slow and i can only run for about 2hrs and the cart is dead again. It just seem's like its not taking a full charge?

Re: Bad obc?
If you are running the cart until it is 'dead' you are not breaking your batteries in properly. You should never run the cart until dead!? Especially during the break in period. the first few charge cycles can take 12 hours, longer if you are discharging below 75% during break-in... Let it finish, no matter how it takes.

Re: Bad obc?
sorry scottyb i wasnt clear in my description. The batteries were replaced last summer and i have ran the cart quite a bit since the breakin. the charger will run until the batteries start to "boil" and the sulfer smell is pretty bad. Also am i wrong about the backup buzzer being ran from the obc?

Re: Bad obc?
back up buzzer is activated from a micro switch on the F&R lever i beleive it has an orange wire going to it and has nothing to do with OBC if cart is running and charging on a 97 i would start with the batteries and connections as i mentioned take voltage readings and load test cause 1 bad battery will keep charger from shutting off.............................
