Default Electric IQ with regen troubles

2006 Electric IQ, all stock but the tires. Worked well til last nite when i went to drive it. Unplugged from charger, no horn in reverse. Solenoid clicks but no movement. Forward is the same. No movement, no horn, was hooked up to charger for 24 hours or so. The headlights do work.

I have checked the battery levels of water, removed one so i could get to the fuse, not blown. I can get a voltage meter if need be but need to be walked thru this all, Im mechanicaly inclined but electonically slow :)

These are simple machines so Im thinking, 1 speed controller? but does that control reverse horn? 2. Electric motor but horn should work then? 3. Batteries, but wouldnt that be a slower death instead of instant, and the light are bright.

I have no idea where microswitches are in it, im assuming under the pedal

Questions-- Is this a new cart to you or have you had it for awhile? Have you checked all battery cables for good clean connections? Had you let charger fully charge batterys before unhooking and as you didnt indicate what batterys conditions were, could the batterys be originals as they could be going bad after 4 years? If you dont have one now this would be the time to get a cheap digital volt meter( Harbor Freight $4-6.00). If batterys are good then it sounds like you have a solenoid that its internal contacts are burned enough that even though it clicks its not making contact?
Being as this is a IQ "I DO NOT RECOMMENED" jumping the two large posts on solenoid as you could do major damage without a proper sequence before trying jumping? I will defer to IQ savy people like ScottyB, or TahoeDawgZ71 or others that work with these carts all the time.
The backup alarm is controled by the solid state controller or F&R rocker switch on a IQ cart ( as I remember ) so unless controller is burned up it normally doesnt have anything to do with F&R motion of cart.

Had it for 8 months, batteries are well maintained can run cart for 20 miles or so before slowing, charger never had a problem with. I can get DVM, neighbor, what am i putting it on? i know i need about 50 volts then changes with the pedal pushed down.
thanks for the response

This is strange considering you are getting a solenoid click. Are you positive that it's a solenoid click and not just a micro switch click? Tap the solenoid a few times with a hammer and try it again... Not on the posts, but on the base of the solenoid. See if that helps. If so, replace the solenoid. The reverse buzzer is powered by the controller so you're right... it definitely sounds like it may be a controller issue. In my years of experience however, I have never seen an IQ car with a solenoid click, but no reverse buzzer. I'd love to plug my IQDM into this one.. Let me know what you find.

To be sure of what click you are hearing...

Turn ign switch OFF and F&R switch centered... then press Go Pedal and see if that's the click you are hearing... if it is... it has nothing to do with the Solenoid... it's just the micro switch attached to the go pedal.

The Micro Switch under the pedal makes a light click sound when depressing the pedal... the Solenoid is definitely a different sound and comes from under the seat area. If that clicks when ign is on you should be moving either forward or backward depending on the position of your F&R switch... unless of course the Solenoid is defective and making a poor contact.

its definitely the micro-switch, no change in sound from key on/off rev/fwd and I know a solid click from a fried solenoid when i hear it ..too many trim pumps on outboards failed

No offense, I like to ask the simple questions, then let everyone else take it from there...

If it has a Tow/Run switch under the seat, is it in the Run postion?
