'95 Club Car Charger Queston
Charger meter will not come up but the charger is humming. Tried my buddies 48v charger and got the same results. Just put on new jumper wires and double checked wires to pos & neg. The cart runs but the batteries aren't taking the charge. I got 7-8v on each battery and 48v from side to side. I can't figure it out.
Thanks |

Re: '95 Club Car Charger Queston
This is a weird charger problem.... OH, it's a club car. Check the pack voltage and check it again at the charger receptacle ... That's a start.

Re: '95 Club Car Charger Queston
Question did you replace cables before or after problem started? Wiring is so easy to get wrong as we have all done it? Have you checked each batterys for condition? 7-8 volt test means that some batterys "7" volts in pack may be bad. This can cause BOTH chargers not to show amperage on meter as you are trying to charge a bad battery that wont build up enough to show on meter. Its like trying to fill a well with a eye dropper so to speak.
BUT AS SCOTTYB says check voltage at receptical and as SHADOWMAN says you may have bad OBC as both chargers acted the same, or if lucky may only need reset? SEE STICKIES ABOVE for procedure. SCOTTYB NOW NOW there are other good carts than EZGO? |

Re: '95 Club Car Charger Queston
I had the same problem 3 weeks ago and found one of the terminals on a jumper wire was almost corroded off. Replaced the wire and it charged fine. When it happened again I replaced all of them and now no meter movement. Does the small red wire need to be on the same battery as the positive wire to the motor?
Thanks |
