Default Batterys

I was thinking of buying a 1990 36v club cart and the guy says it runs good and holds a charge but the batterys are from 1994 so how good are they?

that all depends on how they were maintained, get a voltage meter, a hydrometer and a load tester................go over each battery, a good six volt battery should have approx 6 1/2 volts and hold 6.2 or 6.3 or so under a 10 second test, also check ecery cell in each battery................the down is their age but have seen several sets trogens last 14 years....that is the exception not the rule................good luck with it...........................

1994? Expect to replace them. Negotiate the price knowing that.

I agree with negotiating your price based on needing replacement and any time you get out of them is a bonus.
Mine are 94 batteries as well and I've been planning for the last 2 years to replace them but they just won't quit. They're slowly going away but will still charge to 95%-100% and I can still go 36 holes with 40% charge left.

i have 2 customers that have the big T,s in their carts and these ladies .......yes i said ladies who are both about mid 80,s anyways they have been talking now going on 5 years about replacing them but theres no need for them right now, they take a charge and hold and also hold up real nice under load, as far as i,m concerned they should get another 2, 3, or 4 years out of them......................i wish everone maintained thier batts, the way these widows do...........battery sales would be way down..............................
