Default 02' club car very slow

I have an 02' series club car that has been very slow since last rain. I have cleaned all the the wires except on the fwd and reverse switch. Have already load tested the batteries, they check out fine. Any ideas would be appreciated.

When you speak of rain do you mean normal rain fall with cart sitting outside OR rain that caused flooding that could have gotten into controls or motor? You didnt say whether your cart was a 36 or 48 volt cart so it could be one of several different types of pedal controls that may have gotten wet? Do you know if your cart has a MCOR control under passenger floor, or V Glide under drivers seat? In the case of a MCOR they are pretty much sealed, but V Glide can have cover taken off and dried out if thats the case.

Thanks for replying. The 02 club car is a series 48volt, has mcor under passenger floor. How do I check mcor and what else should I check? Cart wil barely move maybe 3 to 4 mph on flat ground. Was running good until the hard rain for about 15 mins. I have voltage meter and know how to work it bit don't know what to check. Thanks for any help.

If you will send me a private message with your email address I can send you copy of how to check MCOR with meter.

I went ahead and replaced the mcor off another cart. Still no change, cart is the same as before very slow. Could the controller, f/r switch, or motor cause this? If so, what is the best way to test these? Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Was the MCOR working correctly from cart you took it off of? If so then yes it could be any one of the three things F&R, controller, motor? Often when getting wet micro switches on F&R will short out, but normally they dont allow solenoid to kick in so maybe they should be eliminated as problem?? Have you moved the F&R back and forth several times during you trials and are you getting any smell like arcing coming from F&R contacts? Normally again F&R's either work or dont work? That seems to leave you with either solid state controller or motor. There is a way to test series motors while in cart, but to my knowledge no simple way to test controller?

So you have 50+ volts across the battery pack? Jack up the rear so you can press the go pedal down. Check the voltage at the solenoid (with the pedal down), then where the wire attaches to the controller then the output from the fnr, and lastly the motor lug that connects to the fnr. Anywhere along there do you get a major voltage drop? You should be seeing 50+ volts at the motor while running, but you obviously are not! If you are getting 50 volts at the motor then I would at least ensure all connections to the motor are tight and that none of the lugs on the motor are loose.
