Re: Can I repair a potentiometer ?
is he refering to a pot box under the gas pedal? If so, upgrade that to a MCOR. Which switch are you needing? I am sure many here (including myself) could send parts to Costa Rica.

Re: Can I repair a potentiometer ?
The MCOR replaces the Pot under the pedal and is (in some people's opinions) far superior to the Pot. The MCOR is a sealed unit so when dealing with the coastal regions this aides in preventing damage from moisture. The upgrade kit comes complete with everything you need to do the changover (including directions).
A new Pot for your car will run you roughly $200, the MCOR upgrade will run you about $300. A new keyswitch (aftermarket individually keyed) will run you $20. once you are able to send PM's (I think it takes 3 regular posts for that to kick in) we can make arrangements if you are interested. Shipping via Priority mail is approximately $44 |

Re: Can I repair a potentiometer ?
the way to tell is the location. A pot will be directly under the accel pedal, a MCOR will be mounted along the outside of the passenger side frame rail.

Re: Can I repair a potentiometer ?
some techs do call the MCOR a pot since in reality it is a Pot inside. If you already have a MCOR, the cost goes down for a replacement to $200 for just the black MCOR unit itself.
