48 volt lester charger wiring diagram

a friend was having trouble with his cgarger so we plugged it in to my cart, it came on and was charging for about ten seconds then shut off. now my cart want do anything. does anyone have any ideal what is wrong with the charger and what it might have done to my cart?

What year are both carts & what kind of 'trouble' was he having with his charger?

You didnt indicate what model or year each cart was so I am having to quess that his charger could have blown the inline fuse behind your charge recepticle? You said "Now my cart wont do anything" QUESTION does that mean your cart wont charge or is it that it wont run at all? Some 48 volt Club Cars have had the wiring altered to fit a different automatic charger which bypasses the stock OBC so this could cause part of eithers problems? As to his charger have him contact Lester Company site as they have wiring diagrams and personal help and seem always willing to help. Have model and serial number info before contacting them.

his cart is a 2001 club car and mine is a 2004 club car. he said the charger didn't seem to be charging his cart. My cart will not run at all after hooking it to my cart.

Its always nice if you include when asking for help what year, model, voltage, etc so it make it simplier to help. Is "your cart" either a DS model or a Precedent and if its a DS model is it series ( F&R lever beside right leg ) or IQ-Sepex ( rocker switch beside right leg )? On your cart do you have a fuse in the line from #1 battery ( DS passenger rear battery ) and solenoid if so check condition?
Beyond that its just a matter of finding out what blew or broke that is causing your problem. Start by checking each battery for condition ( hydrometer cell tests, voltage each battery and then full pack voltage and refer to stickies above for correct information ) and all cables for good connections.
Does cart when key is on and F&R switch in either position and pedal pressed down do you hear a click? If so this means solenoid is closing but may not be making contact. If it clicks hit with some thing like hammer handle ( non metal ) and see if it engages? This should be done with rear wheels off ground and front block so no movement possible.
