Default 87 club car goes without pushing pedal

heres the problem


my 87 club car goes as soon as u put it in gear forward or reverse

you have solenoid welded closed. We need more information regarding the cart to assist you. does it have 5 solenoids located behind the batteries or 1 solenoid in front of the batteries with a set of resistor coils behind the batteries?

ok in your case you have multiple solenoids either welded closed or at least remaining "active" ar all times.

First thing to check is the speed switch assy. This is the silver box located on the D/S framerail between the outter batteries and the middle batteries. In a quiet area, slowly press the accel pedal and listen. You should hear 5 small clicks. These are the 5 micros clicking.

Second, take a DVOM and test the activation posts (small posts) of each solenoid. Each solenoid should activate 1 at a time as you slowly press the accel pedal to the floor.

Tell us the results please.
