Default Caroche 3-12v wiring

Can a Caroche be wired with (3) 12volt batteries?I was looking at the wiring and diagrams and 2 sets of 6v are paired as a 12v. but 2 are wired independent but tied into series with the rest.Any help would be great. Also where do i find the Vin.#?

It can be done, BUT you will regret it. The 3-12 volt batteries may get you out the driveway and they wiill run out of power. The 6-6volts are used for the reason of having lots of reserve. The truth is; more battery lead content= more riding time which leads to more happy people!!

Where you are talking about 2 pairs of 6 volts, but 2 are wired independant probably means the set up for ( reverse ) as its factory set at 1/2 speed for safety. Im sure that most will tell you NOT TO USE 12 volt batterys, why else would Club Car be dropping 12 volt batterys for 8 volt's again in Precedents? To give your fine looking cart any range go with 6 volt batterys and much longer life as well.

Can you post a pic of under the seats? Kinda hard to assist without "seeing" what we have to work with.

This will all depend on what year Caroche you have as to how many micro speed switches and solenoids you have ( four or five ). To find year of Caroche look under drivers seat just inboard of drivers side battery pack on frame should be a tag, EXAMPLE A 7500-000 which is 1975 Electric cart, NOTE ALL CAROCHE'S have three pedals rather than later 2 pedals. To make the three 12 volt batterys into 36 volts you connect them is ( series ), Negative to Positive etc so you end up with 36 total volts with Negative battery post connected to nearest number one solenoid, which is nearest drivers side?? This would be master feeding other solenoids through buss bar. The Positive battery post is connected to the F&R switch. As I remember the Caroche you should be able to mount them loosly under seat in the three existing 6 volt battery locations? For wiring look at STICKIES under "1970-1974 Caroche Wiring" to confirm connections.
Hope this helps you?
